Misha Gabriel is an internationally recognized dancer, choreographer, and actor known for his work with Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, and appearances in the Step Up film franchise. Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Misha received classical ballet training from his mother, Romanian ballet dancer Irina Brecher, training daily for his first decade. He expanded into lyrical, jazz, modern, and hip-hop styles, studying under Kenny Jimenez. His professional breakthrough came in 2004 when choreographer Brian Friedman selected him for Aaron Carter's "JukeBox" tour. Misha was chosen as a principal dancer for Michael Jackson's "This Is It" concerts and has worked with artists including Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, The Pussycat Dolls, Justin Timberlake, and Omarion. Notable credits include Janet Jackson's "20 Y.O." world tour (2006-2007), co-choreography on Justin Timberlake's "FutureSex/LoveShow" tour, and roles in Step Up: Revolution (2012) and Step Up: All In (2014) as Eddy. He has appeared in music videos for Omarion's "Ice Box" and Beyoncé's "Get Me Bodied." Misha teaches at Broadway Dance Center and prominent dance conventions including Starpower and Monsters of HipHop, and co-instructs at Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood. He has received honors including Co. Dance's "Performer of the Year" and Urban Jamm's "Most Well-Rounded Dancer."
